4.8 Faculty Appointments

Piedmont University supports equal employment opportunity for all applicants without regard to race, color, ethnic or national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, or veteran status. When a full-time faculty vacancy occurs, the dean of the school will request approval from the Vice President for Academic Affairs to proceed with a search to fill the position according to the procedure outlined in the university’s policy on Recruitment, Interviewing and Hiring.

 

Part-time faculty members and part-time Teaching Fellows are appointed as needed and hold their employment at the pleasure of the President or Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, either of whom may discontinue the employment of such employees without cause or advance notice.

 

Official documents validating faculty credentials are kept on file with the respective deans and the Vice President for Academic Affairs.
