4.20 Extracurricular Activities

Faculty members are expected to participate in extracurricular activities as proper extensions of their academic fields of interest, whether in the administration of the university or in representing Piedmont University to the outside community. Faculty members may, on occasion, feel an obligation or be asked to furnish expert counsel or advice to external organizations. The university encourages this activity provided it does not conflict with faculty obligations to the university. The university expects faculty members to foster the good name of the university by example of their personal and public life.
