Article V. Amendments to the Bylaws

Section 1.

 Proposals for amendments to the bylaws may originate with individuals, committees, or others. Proposed amendments shall be presented in writing to the Chair of the Faculty

Senate who shall take action at the Senate’s next regularly scheduled meeting. The Senate may approve, reject, or modify the proposal. The Senate’s action shall be recorded in the minutes and the proposed amendment then presented for action by the Faculty Assembly at its next regularly scheduled meeting.

 

Section 2.

 A proposed amendment shall be recommended to the Board of Trustees for approval if ratified by a favorable vote of two-thirds of the Faculty Assembly members.
