BUSA 3620 Logistics and Supply Chain Management
At the undergraduate level, we focus on the functional level of analysis of the strategic
business unit and the process of getting work done. This is the first course on this topic and will survey the topic. Most of the doing under the supply chain metaphor falls into the category of logistics. Logistics is the optimization of the movement of materials (inbound & outbound) optimizing the storage of materials and optimizing the flow of goods, services, and information. The knowledge and skills to perform these functions are the primary student learning outcomes of this course.
