EDS 8851 Professional Resource Utilization

This course explores the characteristics of school organizations and the use of all available resources through the lens of school improvement and improved student performance. Candidates will evaluate school resource needs and propose modifications to school environments to promote learning. Candidates will explore the components of adult learning theory and a variety of professional development models.

Student Learning Outcomes

Upon the completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Evaluate the connection between policy and fiscal/personnel allocation.
  2. Develop a plan to collaborate with the community and other administrators to execute a framework for change/initiative adoption. 
  3. Identify multiple sources of school resources (fiscal and non-fiscal).
  4. Examine educational research to support budget allocation decisions.
