CNSL 6425 Advanced Counseling Skills & Techniques

This course is an advanced course for prospective counselors who seek to improve their listening skills, responding skills, interpersonal effectiveness, and problem solving abilities. The course is designed primarily as a personal experience in practicing and advanced interpersonal skills. The course uses an experiential format and requires participation in exercises, role play, discussions, and videotaping. Students will be required to attend a one-day, live synchronous residency experience as part of this course.

Student Learning Outcomes

Upon the completion of this course, students will be able to demonstrate the following outcome-based learning skills:
