Student Learning Outcomes

Upon the completion of this course, students will be able to demonstrate the following outcome-based learning skills:

1. Understand basic carbon compounds and their properties, reactions and mechanisms, and their naming system.
2. Demonstrate knowledge of alkanes, alkenes and alkynes. 
3. Be familiar with IR and NMR techniques.
