HIST 3315 History of Constantinople and the Roman Empire
The History of Constantinople is a study of the city's political, social, religious, and intellectual activities from its origin until it was conquered by the Islamic Turks and was named Instanbul. As Byzantium it was influenced strongly by the Greeks. When Constantine became the emperor of the Roman Empire he would make it the capital city of the Empire and turn into a Christian city. The city was named Constantinople.
