While acknowledging that solicitation is not permitted on campus, student fundraising, or passive solicitation, is allowable in residence halls under certain circumstances. The fundraising must be a component of a university-sponsored activity, i.e. under the auspices of Athletics, Campus Activity Board, Compass Program, Campus Minister, Residential Living, Student Government Association, Team Piedmont, or other recognized student organizations, and all promotion must be confined to common areas, and not involve approaching individual rooms. Approval must be granted in advance by the Director of Residential Education.
