Upon the completion of this course, students will be able to demonstrate the following outcome-based learning skills:

  1. Basic conducting patterns.
  2. Use of the hands in showing tempo, dynamics, phrasing, cueing, fermatas, and any other gestures.
  3. Conducting compound and asymmetrical meters
  4. Common musical terms.
  5. The use of a baton.
